At Least Jesse Palmer Loves Us
In case you missed it, after the Heisman ceremony there was a Bowl Mania show by ESPN. They ranked the bowl games from most confident to least confident - much like how you are doing in the Yahoo! Bowl Pick ‘Em league of ours if you joined. So basically they chose which team will win the bowl game and put them on a big board with #32 being the most confident and #1 being the least confident.
I was expecting Jesse Palmer to have Air Force around #32 or so (meaning he was willing to bet his testicles that Air Force would win).
But instead Jesse Palmer put our bowl game at #20 with Cal winning!

I love Cal and Jeff Tedford!
Incredible. Jesse Palmer loves us. He said (essentially) this: Even though Cal has lost the past 6 out 7, I’ve got to believe that Jeff Tedford is too good of a coach to lose this game.
Jesse then proceeded to ask the other ESPN analysts to back him up. Then there was a long awkward silence. And then nervous giggling.
Then they all jumped in and said (more or less) how they really liked Air Force… BIG TIME.
And then they mentioned how Washington’s Louis Rankin (who’s from my high school) busted us up for like 450 yards and 6 touchdowns, and how we couldn’t stop a baby from crawling 100 yards into our endzone. Then they said something about how "the wheels have come off" - whatever that means! And how there is no way that Cal wins this game because we can’t "right the ship."
All I gotta say is that at least Jesse Palmer believes in Cal and Jeff Tedford. Unfortunately, he might be the only one. And me. And maybe Twist, but only because that he’s so happy go lucky and cheers even though something bad happens to us, much like that USC Cheerleader who cheers at the wrong time (God bless her soul).
