A Great Moment In History Remembered
Throughout history, there have been great moments. The invention of the wheel. The first slicing of bread. The birth of Marshawn. What all of these moments have in common is that no one was around to record them.
Fortunately, when this blog was first conceived of, one year ago today, my AIM program was around to archive the conversation. And so, to celebrate the one-year blogiversary of the California Golden Blogs, we present, uncut and unedited, the rambling conversation between TwistNHook and myself that started it all.
Wait. Actually, that’s a lie. The conversation appearing below is both ‘cut’ and ‘edited’. First of all, I replaced our names and screennames with our blog handles. Also, believe it or not, there was even more random and irrelevant asides that were deleted because they weren’t interesting. Finally, our conversation occasionally refers to another Cal blog, which shall remain nameless, in a less than flattering light. Thus, I’ve replaced all references to them with [Oski Talk]. Why them? Well, first of all, I actually rather like their blog, and I suppose the publicity couldn’t hurt them. Second of all, they’ve only been around since September, so we couldn’t possibly have been referring to them. Unless we were prescient. Which we are. But not about this.
Anyway, it’s our first blogiversary! Celebrate good times, baby! Enjoy!
