What a great weekend!
"Hope you enjoyed the view."
First, Cal won one of the biggest games of Tedford’s career. And now, a judge has ordered the tree sitters be-gone. Tree sitters. Be Gone!
I don’t think this really affects the overall lawsuit much, but it is great news. GO BEARS!

Ah… but the injunction is to evict only ONE of the treesitters, as he was the only guy that the university could track down and serve with papers. I mean, come on. They in the TREES! There’s a great big fence around them. How hard is it to serve them with papers.

Ahhh.. I can’t edit my own comment. They in the TREES! -> They’re in the TREES!

The problem is we don’t know the names of the tree-sitters. You have to have information like that to serve them w/ papers. Otherwise, you probably have to go to court to get a John Doe warrant to evict the unnamed individual. Best not to do anything now, anyway, IMO. I don’t want to stir up a hornets nest when the important decision has yet to be handed down. Let sleeping dogs lie. Then hose ‘em out and cut all in one day.

The injunction did name Does 1-50, so I don’t see what the problem is…

You know, the Berkeley SWAT team has been practicing tactics under the Department of Homeland Security anti-terrorism plan. They should just pretend these tree sitters are terrorists and have a midnight exercise to remove them…

I’d like to hear a rambling, paranoid-delusional tirade with ample 1980’s pop culture and sports references from BobG on this decision.

Can’t we send our QBs in to practice their accuracy? If they can hit hippies scurrying around trying to avoid balls, then they should be able to hit WRs in stride trying to catch balls.
