I wanted to turn off the sound and use my XM feed, but that was coming from Oregon. Starkey, while good, also tends toward negativism, especially in tight situations, so I was happy that my AM reception was poor (but, I would take Starkey any day over Fouts...) Although Auburn is ahead 14-0 at the half, its too early to hope for yet another, higher-ranked upset. Ditto, U$C only up by three (17-14) over Washington at the half. Something's in the air today with all these ranked team losses. Even LSU showed some vulnerability against Tulane (which, I'm sure was just a case of looking ahead to next weekend's game with the Gators.) All of a sudden, the Red River whatever (Rivalry? Shootout? Quilting Bee?) isn't about much more than a division title. I will say, Washington is looking pretty scary. But, even though UCLA is (finally) taking it to Oregon State, I'm not too worried about either the Bruins on the road or the Beavers at home. The bye couldn't come at a better time.
