Hmm, interesting. The only way I see that ballot being the least bit logical is if the writer somehow thought that Cal lost and Oregon won (or he somehow mixed the 2 schools up). There's really no other explanation.

Since i don't have a blog with nearly any traffic...i thought that i would relay this and hope it find some equally disgruntled Cal Fans:

This is the link to the AP poll entry by Bret Bloomquist of the El Paso (TX) Times. It has Cal at a ridiculous #13 for week #6.

Dave, yeah, THA1 dances too much (as does Hawk) since they're always looking for that ESPN highlight reel touchdown play. Like you said, the smart thing to do is probably just take the 2-3 yards but then again, if they did we would never get to see them rip-off crazy good playstation type of plays.

Scott, glad you enjoyed the recap. Thanks for the midterm wishes.

Hey thanks for the great recap. I watched the game but I have a 2.5 yr old so it is hard to keep focused on the game. All the best with your mid terms!

The entire first half, the Ducks' D was flying to the ball. Plays that usually went for long yardage (after Forsett/Best/THA1 break a tackle) were being wrapped up at first contact. No broken tackles = no explosive O, which made me really, really nervous.

My friends and I were talking about how THA1 needed to stop dancing sometimes and just take the 2-3 yards. And then he makes that catch, stops, and then absolutely blows by the CB. "oh yeah! I almost forgot he could do that. Yeah, nvm DeSean, you can do whatever you want." I could almost imagine DeSean asking the CB "hey, wanna race? 1-2-3 GO!" Of his dozens of highlights, this has gotta be #1 or 2 (with that crazy stutter-step last year that actually made the defender fall down).
